Despite the uncertainty in the financial markets due to the pandemic, the world economy remains growing strong again.

To address this challenge, employers are expanding benefits, including well-being programs, to help employees thrive and enjoy their workplaces.

Wellness Corp carried out a survey to quantify and better understand the wellness strategy that companies are implementing worldwide.

Employers can use this information to make better benefit decisions to ensure that they create well-being plans that meet the needs of current and future employees.

Overall, three factors can influence the decision to introduce a wellness program, (i) investment trends, (ii) decision influencers and (iii) supplier assessment.

The survey identified 20 wellness programs and strategies, and conclude that the ones that employers were most willing to invest in were stress management (83%), health management programs (78%), health education (62%) ), and fitness classes (51%).

Respondents were asked whether they expect their clients or employers to invest less, the same, or more in associated programs. Overall, employers are more than doubling their investments in health and wellness programs.

As well-being programs become more popular and the job market encourages employers of all sizes to offer competitive benefits, those programs will continue to see more investment - especially for benefits that are highly valued or economical.
